Welcome to Our School PTA Page
Following the recent letter that was sent out asking for people to come forward if they were interested in joining a PTA group at Scarcliffe, I am pleased to say that the new group have now held their first meeting. The new PTA members are:
- Heidi Watkinson (Chair of the group)
- Sarah Wilkins
- Richard Wilkins
- Cathy Nicholas
- Joanne Frost
- Stephanie Rich
- Christopher Mellard-Sibley
What are we raising money for?
As a group they have decided that funds raised will initially be used to buy products for the Class Dojo shop as well as contributing to new IPads for use in school.
Want to get in touch?
If you would like to get in touch with the PTA, and don’t manage to grab them on the playground, please email them at PTAscarcliffe@scarcliffe.derbyshire.sch.uk.
If you enjoy shopping and raising money for school, you can now do both things at once! Why not sign up to Easy Fundraising and support our cause. As you shop, we earn money. So far we have raised over £40 in this way. It's simple - the more you spend, the more school earns.

The first event they have planned is a Spooky Disco. A letter has been sent home to book a place on this.
The group will also be organising Christmas raffles and drinks and refreshments during the craft afternoons. For raffle prizes, we are hoping to make a number of hampers. If you would like to contribute to the Christmas hampers, please send donations to the group via Sarah Wilkins or Cathy Nicholas – alternatively please feel free to send them in to school and we will be happy to pass them on.
The group have also made a suggestion that we work together to recycle out-grown school uniform. At the end of each term we are going to invite parents to bring uniform donations to school. On the very last day of the term we are going to set the hall out with the uniform for parents and carers to collect items from. There will be a donations box for anyone wishing to make a contribution. More information about this will follow closer to the time.
Later in the year, the group will be running further activities and are planning on organising a Summer Fair to link in with the Scarcliffe Soapbox Derby.
