Safeguarding Our Children

We think that it's important for children to know how to keep themselves safe.  The children in Class 4 have designed a leaflet to show children how to stay safe and give them information about what to do if they feel at risk of harm.  Click below to download a copy of the child-friendly leaflet.

Online Safety

One of the biggest challenges we face nowadays is keeping children safe online.  We work hard to make sure children have the skills and knowledge needed.

Below are a number of links that you can use to help keep your children safe when they are on the Internet.

If you are concerned about your child's safety online, it might need to be reported to the police.  You can do this by reporting concerns to CEOP.  Click on the link below for more information and to make a report.  The link at the foot of this page also allows you to report a concern.

Our pupils play a huge role in keeping each other safe online.  We have iVengers - who are part of the School Council.  It is their job to keep children and parents aware of some of the risks online.  Click here to visit the iVengers webpage.

Safeguarding during periods of school closure / holidays

Our number one priority is always to safeguard our pupils.  If you have any concerns in relation to the safety or well-being of children during periods of remote learning (or during school holidays), these should be shared immediately with the head teacher (headteacher@scarcliffe.org.uk) or with the safeguarding team (safeguarding@scarcliffe.org.uk).  If the concerns are regarding the head teacher, they should be shared with the chair of governors (Chris Mellard-Sibley.  You can find his contact details on the governor page.

If you are not satisfied with the response from the school, or if a child is at immediate risk of harm, then you should call Starting Point on 01629 533190.
