Pupil Roles

We have a wide range of roles for our pupils.  These roles help children to have a sense of belonging in school.  The roles also help us to run the school smoothly.

We find the children who take on these additional responsibilities develop a wide range of skills, including:

- Organisation

- Communication

- Team Work

- Time Management

- Perseverance

- Creativity

- Dedication and commitment

These are crucial skills and many link very closely to our core abilities set out in the curriculum section of our website.

Some of the key roles for children within school include:

- School council (see below)

- Anti-Bullying Ambassadors (see below)

 - iVengers (see below)

- Play leaders – Children in Class 4 who have been trained on the "Playmaker Award" who then lead games for children at break times and lunch times.

- Librarians - Children in Class 4 who want to promote reading for pleasure in school and help run the library at break times and lunch each week.

- "Reading Allowed" Experts - Children in Class 4 who support the reading of younger children in Class 1 and Class 2 during assemblies.
